Greifswald, Germany, September 18 – 19 2007

Dear Colleagues,
With this 2nd announcement, we would like to invite you to attend the 7th Cavity Ring-Down User Meeting and to submit a presentation of your current research in the field of optical cavity based spectroscopy. The Workshop is organized by the INP Greifswald in cooperation with the Institute of Physics (IfP), University of Greifswald, and will be held from Tuesday, September 18 to Wednesday, September 19, 2007 in the Alfried-Krupp-College in the centre of the old university town of Greifswald, Germany.

Scientific Program
The meeting will be the 7th in a series of very successful short annual meetings following Heeze, Lille, Düsseldorf, Eindhoven, Oxford and Cork. It will cover all aspects of modern optical cavity based experiments and theory. It is an important and fruitful opportunity to meet and discuss with the leading scientists in the field.
The meeting will take place over two days with sessions of talks before and after lunch and a poster session with industrial exhibition on Tuesday the 18th in the afternoon. The schedule starts with a guided city tour and a welcome reception at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, 17th and ends at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, 19th.

  • Christa Fittschen (CNRS Lille, France)
  • Markus W. Sigrist (ETH Zurich, Switzerland)

Call for papers
Participants who plan to present their scientific results in a short talk or a poster at the meeting are requested to send an abstract of not more than 300 words to the LOC via the abstract submission form on the workshop’s web-site. The Scientific Advisory Board will select speakers from the submitted abstracts for talks of 25 minutes. All participants may present their work in poster form on the workshop. The display panels provided for the poster presentations are 1.0 m wide and 1.5 m high. All participants will receive a copy of the printed book of abstracts. For publishing an article it is necessary that at least one of the authors is registered.
The deadline for abstract submissions is June 29, 2007.
