Spin-offs
The research of INP has led to new developments including atmospheric pressure plasma sources for the medical research like "kINPen Med" and a dielectric barrier discharge for treatment of liquids. These plasma sources were developed in collaboration with medical scientists, physicists and engineers. The successful cooperation and mutual understanding between the different disciplines made it possible to understand and to use the full potential of the plasma-medical applications. Since it was founded, INP has spun off a total of 5 enterprises:
neoplas GmbH is a service provider for technology transfer, technology development and technology management. Founded in 2005 as a technology transfer center, it specializes in the development and manufacture of plasma sources for industry, research and medicine. Applications are e.g. in veterinary wound healing and industrial surface treatment.
