Smart Data Technologies
In the research area of smart data technologies, we are engaged in research and development of models, methods and digital tools for simulations and data processes. At a time when digital twins and data are playing an increasingly central role in science and technology, we are taking advantage of the opportunities offered by modern technologies.
The focus is on multiphysical simulations and the integration of diverse data sources for a holistic approach. This also includes the use of artificial intelligence to create efficient prediction models and the coupling of models and measurement data for multiphysical problems. This enables us to create new possibilities for modeling, data-driven simulation and analysis of plasmas and plasma processes, as well as data and information management.
A unique feature of our research focus is the combination of data, metadata and technical information for data-driven research and development based on modern research data management solutions for plasma research.
Departments of the research focus:
- Plasma modeling and data integration
- Data science methods
The combination of modeling, data integration, and data science methods provides information and data about the objects of investigation from different perspectives. This significantly reduces the effort required to achieve a holistic process understanding for plasma applications and other technologies and enables new insights into complex processes.
