DINPlas
The aim of this project is to initiate a standardization process for testing the effectiveness and safety of cold atmospheric pressure plasma sources for medical applications based on uniform and application-relevant test procedures. The basis and starting point is DIN SPEC 91315 “General requirements for medical plasma sources”, published in 2014 under the leadership of the INP, which is to be optimized, adapted, expanded and converted into a regular standard. Standardized measurement methods for all plasma medical source concepts (e.g. volume, surface or jet discharge) including their specific properties (including single or multi-electrode concepts, controlled working gas volume flow or ambient air) are to be proposed. This concerns test procedures that examine both physical-technical criteria for plasma sources for medical use and relate the biological plasma effects to them.
