Reactive plasmas

Reaction mechanisms induced by gas discharges have great technological potential for use, for example in the splitting of carbon dioxide and the formation of green hydrogen. The models available at our institute for analyzing plasma-chemical processes and reaction pathways are used to optimize plasma applications and to open up new fields of technology. Both thermal and non-thermal plasmas can be used to trigger the reaction mechanisms.
