High standards in HR policy confirmed
The jury has recognised the INP’s equal opportunities strategy as meeting the TOTAL E-QUALITY standards across the various areas of action. Particular emphasis was placed on sustainable practices in human resources and organisational policy, as well as the continuous development of work on equality and diversity.
“The fact that we have now received this award for the fifth time demonstrates that equal opportunities and diversity are firmly embedded in the INP’s organisational culture. Diverse perspectives enhance the quality of our research and foster the exchange of different experiences and ideas. We will continue to pursue this path consistently in the future,” says Prof. Dr Thomas von Woedtke, member of the INP’s Scientific Board.
Systematic development of organisational culture
Since receiving the last award, the INP has consistently further developed its measures to promote equality and diversity. These include updating the equality plan, appointing a diversity officer, signing the Diversity Charter, and expanding leadership development. In addition, HR processes ensuring equal opportunities have been further structured, and staff development has been more closely aligned with the European ‘Human Resources Strategy for Researchers’ (HRS4R). The jury particularly highlights this systematic development of HR and leadership culture.
“We have strategically developed our equality and diversity work over recent years. This includes transparent HR processes, training programmes for managers and a stronger integration of diversity into our organisational development. This award validates the approach we have taken and motivates us to continue developing equality of opportunity and diversity in collaboration with our staff. In future, we aim to place even more women in academic leadership roles and to strengthen further dimensions of diversity,” explains Dr Christine Zädow, the INP’s gender equality officer.
