The protection and confidential handling of your personal data is very important to us. Below we inform you about the processing of your personal data in connection with your application in accordance with Art. 13 GDPR.

3. Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing
We process your personal data for the purpose of conducting the application process and deciding on the establishment of an employment relationship.
The processing is based in particular on:
- Section 26 (1) BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 GDPR,
- Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (steps prior to entering into an employment relationship).
Where special categories of personal data are processed (e.g. information regarding severe disability status), this is carried out on the basis of Section 26 (3) BDSG in conjunction with Art. 9 (2) lit. b GDPR.
Processing based on your consent only takes place where expressly indicated, e.g. for inclusion in a talent pool.
4. Categories of Processed Data
Within the application process we process in particular:
- master data (name, address, contact details),
- application documents,
- qualification records,
- information on professional career,
- communication data,
- voluntarily submitted information and documents.
5. Application Channels
You may apply via our online application portal or by other means, in particular by email.
If applications are received by employees, departments or HR administration via email, they will be internally forwarded for the purpose of conducting the application process and transferred into our applicant management system.
We generally recommend using our online application portal.
Please note that the transmission of applications via unencrypted email may involve security risks. If you choose this communication channel, the transmission is at your own risk.
6. Applicant Management System
We use the applicant management software of BITE GmbH to conduct the application process.
A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with BITE GmbH.
7. Recipients of the Data
Your personal data will only be disclosed to persons and departments that require the data to conduct the application process.
These include in particular:
- HR administration,
- responsible departments,
- selection committees,
- staff council,
- equal opportunities representatives,
- IT service providers and processors.
8. Transfers to Third Countries
As a rule, no transfer of personal data to third countries takes place.
9. Storage Period
Your personal data will generally be deleted six months after completion of the application process.
If you have expressly consented to inclusion in a talent pool, we will store your data for a maximum of twelve months or until you withdraw your consent.
Where statutory retention obligations exist or storage is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims, data may be stored beyond these periods.
10. Obligation to Provide Data
The provision of your personal data is necessary to process your application and conduct the application procedure.
Without this data, your application cannot be considered.
11. Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have in particular the following rights:
- right of access (Art. 15 GDPR),
- right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR),
- right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
- right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- right to object (Art. 21 GDPR),
- right to withdraw consent granted (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).
12. Right to Lodge a Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data.

13. Automated Decision-Making
Automated decision-making including profiling pursuant to Art. 22 GDPR does not take place.
